The S.A.G.E. Center, located at 3138 Fifth Avenue (between Spruce
& Redwood) opened in 1999 to provide members and guests with a
place to meet, socialize and participate in various activities.
It also serves as a drop-in center for visitors and for senior
members of the community who may be looking for available resources.
Programs at the S.A.G.E. Center include a weekly card games
(Bridge and Pinochle), an Evening of Gay Film, a bi-weekly movie
matinee program and a monthly gathering to celebrate member birthdays
and other informal programs. Board and card games, a book and
music lending library and a large screen TV are available to our
members and their guests.
The S.A.G.E. Center is funded in part by the San Diego LGBT Pride
Fund managed by the San Diego Human Dignity Foundation and by
funding associated with Aging as Ourselves. Past grants include
funding from Alliance Healthcare Foundation and the San Diego
Foundation.
