Film Programs
An Evening of Gay Film is held at the S.A.G.E. Center on the second Thursday of each month. Although gay characters have appeared in main stream motion pictures in the past, it is only in recent years that Hollywood has joined with independent film makers in presenting films that deal with serious gay issues or present gay characters in a non stereotypical manner. Our Evening of Gay Film will feature both independent and Hollywood films, gay classics, comedies, dramas, and documentaries. The program begins at 7:00 PM and light refreshments are available. The Evening of Gay Film is sponsored by Obelisk Bookstore, located at 1029 University Avenue in Hillcrest.
July Evening of Gay Film Presentation – "The Times of Harvey Milk" (1984)

On the fourth Thursday of each month, S.A.G.E. members and their friends gather at the Jasmine Restaurant, located at 4609-A Convoy Street (between Balboa & Clairemont Mesa) at 11:30 AM for a Dim Sum Luncheon. You don’t know what Dim Sum is? No problem –your host, Wing Lo, will explain it to you. A popular S.A.G.E. activity, the Dim Sum Luncheons are open to all. No reservations needed – just meet in the lobby.
Bon Fire & Pot Luck on Fiesta Island

If you plan to attend, please bring a favorite dish for at least 6 people, a comfortable lounge chair (if sitting on thr veach is not your style) and some wood if you have some available.
